MPN is is the collaborative brain-child of Mr. Al Pete and MJbaker, established in 2013. The initial concept was the vision of Mr. Al Pete to create an event where people within the community could come experience a personalized soundtrack of music curated by him in safe, eclectic spaces around the city of Jacksonville, Florida.

When combining creative powers with MJbaker, Mister Peterson’s Neighborhood was birth. The very first Mister Peterson’s Neighborhood event was March 1, 2013 in a warehouse they rented out from a friend. They were both surprised when approximately one hundred people showed up that night. After this experience, Mr. Al Pete and MJbaker realized they had something. After a few MPN experiences, they decided to birth another more subtle experience with a low-key lounge vibe for audiences called The Groove Suite. Another event is Fly Socks & Tees, which initially began as a birthday celebration for Mr. Al Pete where you experience the funk, the fly and the fun.

Overtime as the MPN events grew, Mr. Al Pete and MJbaker realized their company was purposed to be bigger than an event experience and formed a media company. In 2018 MPN was expanded to working with podcasters and innovators within the community, assisting them in broadcasting and branding their podcasts and art to the world. Currently, MPN has become a hub for a number of podcasts within the Jacksonville Community.
