In this episode, we're chatting with our very own Mr. Moderator, Paul Duncan.
As a professional moderator, Paul does more than just ban comments. He teaches and helps others
become moderators through his YouTube channel and work with content creators and other moderators.
Paul was in the telecommunications field for over 35 years, starting out in the public sector and then working for companies such as Cisco, SGI, SonicWall, and Brocade. After retiring unexpectedly in 2018, Paul looked for ways to occupy his time. In 2021 he was helping a friend to research how to go about doing YouTube streams, and in the process, discovered the world of Ecamm, which would change his life.
In less than a year, Paul has become known as Mr. Moderator, moderating for Ecamm, Doc Rock,
India Delgado, Mr. Camera Junkie, Take One Tech, Tom Buck, and Matthew O'Brien, to name a few. He has also moderated summits and webinars ranging from a few hundred attendees to over 10,000 attendees and has become a part of the Ecamm Live Academy team.
Because of what he has learned, he has created an online course in moderating, created a 2,000+ blocked word list to help you protect your streams, and is working on a moderator certification program.
